Clitheroe Golf Club’s Head Professional Paul McEvoy has scooped a major award after being voted the TGI Partner of the Year by his fellow professional golfers.
Paul attended the glittering ceremony held at the Trump Turnberry Luxury Golf Resort along with many leading figures from the golf industry and received the TGI’s top award from the TGI Chairman Michael Brooks.
TGI is a retail services group and has over 500 Professional Golf Association members who benefit from TGI’s strong relationships with all the major golf brands allowing individual golf professionals access to an extensive product choice and exclusive product promotions.
Paul has previously served on the Board of Directors of TGI for 15 years, three of them as Chairman.
Speaking after the ceremony, Paul said, “It’s humbling in an unbelievable way. We work all our lives to be recognised by our peers and this is the icing on the cake for all the years I’ve worked my socks off.
” The Clitheroe Golf Club General Manager, Steve Alcock, said that the award was a recognition of the high quality of service available to the members and visitors to the club from its professional both in terms of the range of equipment stocked in the shop and the expert advice on offer from Paul and his assistants. “I’m sure all the members will join me in congratulating Paul on his triumph at the TGI awards ceremony and wish him every success in his future years as our professional at Clitheroe Golf Club.”
