COVID Information for Visitors
ARRANGEMENTS FOLLOWING THE REMOVAL OF COVID RESTRICTIONS
Whilst many of the legal restrictions around Covid have now been removed, guidance from UK government continues to urge caution and responsibility amongst individuals.
As a Club, we have a duty to protect the health and safety of visitors, members and staff and as such we are bound by Working Safety Guidance. We undertake regular risk assessments at our club and therefore continue to ensure that hygiene on our premises remains paramount. The requirement to wipe down tables and other surfaces continues.
Please make full use of the sanitiser stations which will be maintained in the various locations around the Golf Club and we recommend that face coverings continue to be worn in confined areas, particularly within the Clubhouse, locker rooms and Pro shop areas.
Please also refrain from gathering in groups to drink around the bar area in the main lounge. If bar stools are fully occupied in the Legends Room then please take a seat at one of the tables.
Furniture has been re-introduced for normal use, including flagsticks in standard hole cups, bunker rakes and ball washers. The compressor for shoe and trolley cleaning is operational.
We intend to retain tee bookings in four-balls at 10 minute intervals (subject to ongoing review) as the general feeling is that this has assisted in maintaining pace of play on most occasions.
There are no restrictions on numbers able to use the practice facilities, driving range and short game areas, but tickets must be purchased at the Pro shop
BEFORE YOUR ROUND:
There is no longer the requirement to arrive a maximum of 15 minutes before your round and to be already changed for golf. The locker rooms return to pre -pandemic operation though we urge you all to be familiar with closing times particularly as we move to autumn and winter months.
There is no restriction on numbers able to access the Pro Shop which offers an excellent range of clothing and equipment.
The Clubhouse and hospitality areas have reverted to pre-pandemic operation and it is no longer be a requirement to adhere to table service only although this would be our preferred option. Additionally, there is no longer a requirement to operate the ‘rule of six’ though we do urge all visitors to be sensitive to others who may wish to keep to at least some level of social distancing. The above comments about the wearing of face coverings is appropriate in this context.
