Visitors are always welcome at Clitheroe.
However, it is not a course for beginners and it is expected
that all your players can play to a reasonable standard and
will not hold up play.Handicap certificates may be required,
to show that your members are bona fide golfers. Each player
must have a set of clubs, proper footwear and is expected
to know and comply with the normal etiquette of golf.

FORMAT OF PLAY FOR PARTIES
Unless special arrangements have been made in advance, visiting
parties play 9 holes prior to lunch and then 18 holes in
the afternoon.
Rounds of four hours or more spoil the day for everyone and
organisers should choose a format which encourages continuous
play.
- Fourballs should be Betterball; Stableford, Par
or Greensome. Singles play should be Stableford or Par
and must be played in threes.
- Medal rounds are only accepted by special arrangement.
- Texas Scrambles are not permitted.
STARTING TIMES FOR PARTIES
Your starting times are pre-arranged and it is essential
that these are adhered to. You will be notified of your
tee times when your booking is confirmed but these are
usually from 10.00 and 14.00 (Except Thursdays). Starting
is at 7 minute intervals and play is from YELLOW tees (Men)
or RED tees (Ladies).
