Concertina Events www.concertinaevents.com are pleased to bring The Marina Dalglish Golf Day to Clitheroe for the third year running on Thursday May 27th 2010. Once again the event will be supported by Sky Sports who at previous events have broadcast live on the Sky Sports News Channel.
The events has gone from strength to strength since its beginning in 2008, raising over £45,000.00 for Marina’s Appeal, helping cancer sufferers from across the North West.
The event gives businesses and individuals the opportunity to play golf with sporting legends whilst raising money for an extremely worthwhile cause. The Marina Dalglish Appeal has already raised in excess of £2 million and built a Centre for Oncology at University Hospital, Aintree the next challenge is to build a Radiotherapy Centre bringing treatment closer to the patient.
Clitheroe Golf Club has proven to be the perfect venue for this spectacular event with it’s James Braid designed course which challenges all level of golfer.
Every year there is tremendous support from the celebrities who play golf and enjoy dinner and an evening of fun with their teams.
Previous winners include Walker Steel in 2008, 2009 saw the event being supported by many of Clitheroe Golf Clubs own members, no surprise then that the 2009 winning team included 3 club members Steve Ackers, Dave Chippendale and Clive Wood with ex Burnley manager Stan Ternent completing the four ball.

An invitation is extended to you all to join us on the 12th may 2010 from 1pm as we encourage spectators to cheer on their favourite celebrities.
