Terms, Conditions and Regulations for Open Competitions

  • Competitors must avail themselves of the rules of the competition and the Club’s rules.
  • The Rules of the R & A shall apply throughout.
  • Entry in limited to Members of recognised Golf Clubs.
  • Entry forms shall be completed overleaf and returned to The Secretary at the address shown above, with the correct entry fee and a SAE. Please ensure all details are clearly written.
  • Tee times are available from 7.30am until 3.30pm. Times will be offered as near as possible to that requested. Times which are not suitable should be returned immediately.
  • The Committee reserves the right to allocate tee times.
  • Entries from Members from the same Club requesting the same tee time may not be allocated. Adjacent tee times will be offered if available.
  • The Committee reserves the right to refuse and entry without stating a reason. All disputes shall be referred to the Committee whose decision in all matters is final.
  • Ties will be decided as follows: Back Nine 6,3,1 then the last 6,3 and 1 on the Front Nine. If this still does not produce a result the Committee’s decision will be final.
  • No competitor to receive more than one prize. Any prize winner or representative not attending the prize presentation or offering apologies will forfeit the prize.
  • All competitors are required to adhere to the Club’s Dress Policy which is outlined as follows: Formal golfing attire must be worn; tailored shorts are welcome and must be worn with WHITE socks of any length; please note that shorts are NOT to be worn in the dining room after 6.00pm; turtle neck shirts are welcome and all shirts must be worn tucked into trousers.
  • The use of mobile telephones on the course or in the clubhouse is not permitted.
  • Food is available all day and you are advised to book a table in the restaurant on arrival if you wish to dine after 5pm.
  • Handicap certificates must be produced on the day on request, especially if a prize winner.
  • REFUNDS will not be made should cancellation be within 7 days of the event.
  • Buggies are permitted on the course for those players who can produce medical evidence that they are unable to walk the course. Any one wishing to bring a buggy must contact the Secretary in advance to discuss conditions. The Committee reserves the right to not allow buggies should they feel the conditions are not suitable.
