All players are expected to respect the following dress code as authorised by
the Council. Conventional, smart casual dress may be worn in the lounges
and dining room except when otherwise notified for formal, social or other
nominated occasions. Formal turtle neck golf shirts may be worn. Both on
and off the course, shirts must be worn tucked into trousers. Smart tailored
shorts of a respectable length may be worn both on and off the course, except
after 6pm in the dining room. They must be worn with either knee length socks
of any plain colour and pattern, or with predominantly white calf length
or ankle socks. The dress code applies to all Members, visitors and guests
aged 8 years and over.
Denim wear, track suits, football and similar type sports
shirts, collarless or sleeveless T shirts, along with training
shoes and sandals of any description are not acceptable
form of dress on the course or in the clubhouse. Golf shoes,
waterproofs and golfing caps must not be worn in the foyers,
lounges or dining rooms. Golf caps must be worn with the
peak to the front. Except for tailored breeches, trousers
must not be worn tucked into socks. Failure to comply with
the dress policy will result in the person being asked
to change or leave the premises immediately. If you spot
someone improperly dressed, please approach them yourself
or report the matter to a member of staff.
Single seater and twin seater buggies are permitted on the
course, subject to course conditions. Any player wishing
to bring their own buggy must contact the Secretary’s
Office in advance to discuss your requirements. On the day,
if the course conditions are not suitable, then no buggies
will be allowed on the course.
Please note there are no buggies available for hire.
